A to Z: Beyond the Basics

Argyle

Argyle is a popular intarsia technique originating in Scotland. Characterized by knitted diamonds in two or three contrasting colors, argyle patterns were traditionally used for socks but can now be seen on all kinds of knitted garments such as cardigans and vests. See our Intarsia section for technical instructions.
